The Pink Emir is an image from my series Land of Plenty which was shot in Doha.
I travelled to Qatar a number of times over a period of two years and I created images about an ever changing city being built by the many for the few. The series focusses on the visible contrast between a wealthy elite and a service class of low wage immigrants in charge of the construction and the maintenance of the infrastructure of this city at the edge of the desert.
